Sachin sanctions MP fund for Ernakulam General Hospital
Cricketing legend and Rajya Sabha MP Sachin Tendulkar has always shown his fondness to Kerala, be it by owning a city based football club, Kerala Blasters or by investing in other projects in the city and state. Now, the batting maestro has extended his helping hands to the Ernakulam General Hospital.
Sachin has allotted an amount of Rs 25 lakh from the MP fund for installing a digital X-Ray unit in the hospital.
Sachin's office has informed the Ernakulam district collector about this matter. The Collector has been instructed to complete the necessary actions and hand over the amount within 70 days. Tendulkar also urged the district administration to keep him informed on progress of the implementation.
Ernakulam General Hospital was founded in 1845 by the erstwhile king of Kochi. It is the only major healthcare facility in public sector in the city center.
